FYKI, Mr Rahman is not the first Indian to win Oscar. This is not true.
Bhanu Aithaiya had won an Oscar way back in early 80s, for her COSTUMES designing in Richard Attenborough’s film GANDHI.
Later Satyajit Ray was also awarded a special Life time achievement OSCAR award in late 80s.
ARR is the third Indian to get an Oscar. Though he is first Indian musician to get it.
